1060 is fine for 1080p gaming.

Hi guys.
Looking for a new GPU. Mainly for Battlefield 1.
My setup that I dont plan on upgrading:
i5 4670k
8GB ram
SSD
1920x1200 dell
Currently have a R9 270k so I want a quite a significant upgrade. Want to play the game 60+ FPS on high.
Looks like its a toss up between 1060, 480x and maybe 1070 (probably overkill).
Anyone with experience on the matter?

RX480 does wonders on BF1 and dx12!
Nvidia cards gets less fps in dx12 than 11![]()

Also for R600 more you can get http://www.wootware.co.za/powercolo...UOTE] Your math sucks :p 4499 - 3999 = R500
So saw the pricing on the MSI 1050 ti at wootware.

or you can get a way faster card for the same price http://www.wootware.co.za/zotac-zt-...-192-bit-pci-e-3-0-desktop-graphics-card.html or http://www.wootware.co.za/galax-gef...agon-game-ready-bundle-115-in-game-value.html
The Zotac 1050 ti is over a grand cheaper than the cheapest 1060. I do think the 1060 is the best price/perf but if you only got R2400 the 1050ti doesn't look bad. There is always something better for just R1k more.
yeah its just funny how the pricing worked out for South Africa on that card to be the same price as its big brother.

"Premium" budget cards never make sense. As others have mentioned the entry level Zotac 1050 Ti is a good option for many, a lot better than the RX 460 4GB and slightly cheaper too. AMDs plan to attack the entry level market sure doesn't look like it's working now.
