Grand Theft Auto 6

A walkthrough video? Of GTA???? Do you have a spare 90 hours to watch someone ELSE play the game?

GTA offers so much: character development, vehicle mechanics (cars, helicopters, airplanes, jetskis), escapism (rob a bank or kill some drug kingpin or fire a rocket at a soldier).

I get you haven't played GTA before from the sounds of it, but don't judge it too quickly. It's not just a game, it is THE game. It is the closest we've gotten to a real-life simulator that lets you live your wildest dreams).

As for buying a PS5 or Xbox, I recommend you look at Vodacom or FNB for a contract purchase. For R600/month, you too can get in on all the hype. Worth it!
In short, just the ultimate, funniest, most offensive and most immersive do-what-you-want sandbox series. What more do people want...

I'm confident VI will be absolutely insane.

Yeah and the reason why so many kids will become criminals or commit suicide.

How do you figure? Kids commit suicide because they're depressed, because their parents abuse them, because of academic worries ... what are the suicide themes inside GTA?

As for kids becoming criminals, that's a joke. Highjackers in South Africa aren't sitting at home playing their Xboxes. They're grinding away in criminal syndicates, shooting up drugs and trying to provide for themselves or their families.

*Le sigh* So hard to tell the genuine idiots apart from the idiotic trolls, my bad.

If you wanna troll, at least use a </troll> like a gentleman.
Sorry, I forget some guys didn't grow up with the games. It has been said for a long time games are the reasons kids turn to crime. Jammer oom!

Just look at Gilded's post above. Is that another troll, or a legit noob in the wild? Not much difference between that and your post. Some cliches are cliches because they're adamantly believed by people who don't know any better.

I already said sorry. Move on! I am not saying sorry twice.

- Grand Theft Auto VI redefines the concept of open-world (sandbox) gameplay. Explore the most massive, dense, and insane map ever created by Rockstar Games. Traverse the neon-lit streets of a pulsating Vice City, dominate dangerous swamps, crowded beaches, and realistic suburbs that cover the state of Leonida from end to end. Every inch of the scenery has been designed to deliver brutal immersion and total freedom.

- Lucia and Jason: Cooperative gameplay and a duo of protagonists The main campaign brings an unprecedented dynamic with the franchise's first criminal couple. Alternate control between Jason and Lucia in real time, dictating the pace of the story and executing ultra-coordinated heists. Feel the evolution of character management, where each protagonist possesses unique abilities that directly influence the criminal ecosystem and the tactical intelligence of the missions.

- A living world controlled by Artificial Intelligence The universe of GTA VI pulsates in a hyper-realistic way. NPCs (non-player characters) have their own routines based on advanced AI, generating organic random events across the map. The major innovation lies in the in-game integration of social networks: your character's cell phone consumes viral videos in real time, allowing you to follow Vice City influencers and discover secret side missions through social media.

- Next-Gen Graphics and Performance on PS5 and PS5 Pro Developed natively to extract maximum power from Sony's hardware, GTA 6 delivers breathtaking visuals. The updated graphics engine features: Advanced Ray Tracing

- Global Illumination: Perfect reflections on cars and water in Vice City.
- Realistic Dynamic Weather: Storms and time changes that alter physics and gameplay.
- Optimization for PS5 Pro: Enjoy improved performance, more stable frame rates (FPS), and even sharper resolutions on the most powerful console on the market.

I've played every single GTA including the 1997 top down original and loved them all. I know the direction Rockstar are headed in now and that's why I'm not excited about 6. Why would I want a contract purchase if you end up paying more in the long run?

I'd rather wait for the PC release anyway.

You want a contract purchase because Xbox pricing is going up soon, and even if you opt to a PS5 the cheapest version is always on-sale now.

Also, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush: you can't keep waiting for a perfect special which never arrives.

Any other justifications are just copium.

Which cover is your favourite?

1000012637.jpg

Of course in SA this was the standard GTAIII cover (it was changed to the less violent grid style in the US because of 9/11):

They're all good in their own way (except Advance) but personally I think Vice City's cover remains the best.

Yeah man, Vice City was my first taste of both Grand Theft Auto and even 3D open-world gaming, and it blew my mind in University in 2005. I even remember to this day i had to get a dedicated 32MB Nvidia TNT2! graphics card just so I could play San Andreas: before that I did not understand that demanding games could slow down a computer and that.opening bicycle sequence was rendered one frame at a time!

Such good memories. A game with an entire set of radio stations just wowed me even further. Other games had soundtracks, and here were entire in-game radio stations! Please excuse the fangirling, but I have always admired how GTA has single-handedly pushed gaming forward with each new release.

The alternate gta3 cover is actually great

Funnily enough Vice City was the only main game in the series that didn't really blow me away because, other than the 80s, it wasn't much different from III.

Every other game (except for London, the 3 handhelds and EFLC) blew my mind for various reasons.

Vice City was my favourite too. But man that helicopter sequence was fcking annoying.

If there's one criticism I have about GTA, it's the clunky controls. I hope they've finally done away with the run button and moved it to the left stick where it belongs...
