I’ve booked 19th and 20th off to play this. I won’t have much time to play after that or normally as I’m obviously not going to be playing it in front of my son.

Nah, personally i think it's a bit cringe to want to take time off just to play a game.
But hopefully you guys are not like some people with contracts with their partners promising not to bother each other while playing GTAVI.

Interesting take. I work from home; so there is no “getting home”
Anyway the way I see it; is life is too short to be at work all the time. I only work so that I can enjoy the finer things in life and support my family. Work is very much a secondary thing to me. I close my laptop on the dot at 5pm each day and then do something else. People know you won’t see me online before 9am and after 5pm.
So, taking time off to have “me time” to enjoy a game series that I love, seems perfectly normal to me.
But hey, everyone is different.

This is true. Whatever makes people happy I guess.
Love my games but just never felt the need to take any time off. I have my free time when I get home and plenty on weekends etc.

Just saying, never done it for a game, movie etc and not planning to. To me it's weird and can't remember any game where taking time off for it made the news.

Bro still thinks it's coming to him in 2027, cute...Well I did say it's coming in April. First quarter is even better if true.
Still a very long wait. And there will probably be delays just like with the stupid console version. So Q4 2027
