Graphics Card Advice

When was that? Please tell me it's current! I have a mate in need. Or was it some kind of special?
It was a few months ago, it wasn't a special so pop in and hopefully it'll still be that price :).

That's wired though.

Also, I heard there are some problems with Prophecy. Not sure if it's true though.

Wired is better. No batteries.

Prophecy is awesome. Used them many times before. Wootware have it as well but a little more expensive.

It's available for that price most of the time and it includes the wireless receiver. Just look for the Xbox controller in the red box.

2100mah Energizers last me a month.

It's a good card but it's good *NOW* and good now is not good enough for tomorrow. You should consider buying a better GPU that you know will perform in the future otherwise it's a waste. So it's better to save up if you're budget orientated and if you cant wait then go with GTX 750 or the HD 7790.
If you're willing to save up a bit more to get something more powerful then go for the HD 7870.

More practical but the weight to the controller that the batteries give is a way better feel.

Guys need some advice again....

In your opinion, which Nvidia card competes with the 9280x? The 760 or 770?

According to this:

The 770.

You're the second person now to ask this question.

Why do you want to know?

I asked the question in the other thread, which you answered as well. Thanks for the guide.

Basically I was going to buy a second hand 280x, but it is just about too long to fit into my case (like a centimetre). Im not considering either the 760 vs 770. Not sure if it worth it paying extra for the 770

Oh lol it was you. The performance difference between the 280 and 280x is so small. I'd rather save the extra bucks and get:

I'm undecided now...cause I'm thinking of going Nvidia instead....less heat and noise.... I do understand AMD offers better price to performance though..

What?

That hasn't been true for over a decade now.

Nvidia really knows how to take advantage of you guys.

Speaking of a close fit. The Gigabyte R9 270x

Of course you could move the drive-bay inwards, but it just fits into the Raidmax case just like that. Luckily you connect the power from the front.

Hey, the lid closes and there is another two cables that are loose that are easily accessible, and nothing that can land in a fan when it gets moved around.

The problem with that power supply apart from not being modular, is that they reinforced the edges of the cables with hard plastic and it's too long and near the edge.
This gives you zero bend, if that case didn't have a nice hollow bit on the lid, would of had to cut that plastic just to be able to bend the PCI-e cable otherwise the lid wouldn't close.

Having it on the bot also have a few downsides, but the silence is worth it.
