I have the same problem, I've been playing Crysis and other games lately, when suddenly out of nowhere, green, blue and red squares appear all over the screen, usually followed by a Blue screen of Death. If I exit the game in time, I can see the temperature of the card is at 115 degrees...
I currently have an ATI Radeon X1800 XT, not overclocked at all. I've never had this problem before Only started recently.
I can't afford a new Graphics card At the moment and it would really suck if this blew

Remove the Fan/Heatsink and apply some new Thermal paste. Also clean the PC a bit and ensure that there is proper airflow in the case. The summer heat is with us!
