Graphics card prices in SA

Dont forget to take into account credit card processing fees, and the cost to actually pack and deliver an item to SA. There are quite a few 'hidden' costs. ;)

If there is any specific card, from a specific supplier you want, I dont mind helping out and importing for everybody. Will just need to get enough people together?

dude, wantitall is seriously ****ing overpriced to say the least. just take fallout 3 for example:

wantitall:
Our Price:
R 553.00
Retail Price: R 716.00 You Save: R 163.00 (23%)

take2
Suggested Price: R 399
Our Price: R 361

wow ZOMG, retail of R716 you save R163 !!!!, /takes look at take2's price of R361, just add R29 shipping to it and it still is cheaper. i would be interesting to see where it is retailing in RSA for R716...

-maybe i have not found your cheap section yet.

Wantitall have a bigger range than anyone else. It's like buying stuff from Amazon or Newegg. It might cost more but they might be the only people who can get hold of something rare.

I say this because I bought an unusual antenna from them, which I couldn't get anywhere locally.

Sure they even sell dildos . I still find some of their things way to over priced like in the one example I used from them R561 vs take 2 R 361. Definitly like to see where that retail price of R 716.00 comparison comes from.

Bigger range and rarity hardly classifies as a proper reason for being overpriced, I'm definitly not the only person who complained about their pricing before. From your post they seem like the local nag group; and becuase of their leetnessness they can charge any price ?

meh. I only ever bought that one thing from them! Wouldn't but stuff from them usually - can get it cheaper elsewhere. I agree they're overpriced.

Difference in graphics cards

Please could you assist. I need to upgrade my current graphics card. Only have about R1500 to spend. Which is the best card for my money and where can I get it from?

Looking at either Force3d 4850 or the Nvidia 9600gt 1gb

I must say there are some decent deals around on graphics cards if you really wanna buy.
Prophecy shop Force3d cards are cheap!
4830 -R1009
4850 -R1338 (out of stock)
4870 -R1982 (512mb)
4870 -R2496 (1024mb)

PC International have a GTX 260 896mb for R2164

Try get that 4850. The 4850 is way faster than the 9600GT, it is about as fast as a 9800GTX+. It's a great card. If Prophecy shop gets stock again of the 4850 for R1300, buy it!

The 9800GTX+ has become the GTS 250, at PC International it is R1624.
