Nice one, did you get it at R4,999 ex? Insanely good price! Wonder how long it'll last maxing games? 2 - 3 years, perhaps longer? :D

I think for R 4999-00 you really cant go wrong :/

Even if I keep it for a month or 3. Then sell it I dunno haha
 
Nice that you have the choice because you'll lose very little R selling that card in 3 months.

Hi, I checked and it's running on Auto which is the same as Ultra. 4x AA, 8x AT.

ctrl alt and S. Finally i got driver that can make use of 6990 :D. 11.11b plus cap 2 is the business. I got everything on ultra the only thing i turn off is deferred AA, makes my screen messed up(tearing it looks like). 80FPS. Geez amd took kuk long to fix it though :(. Pretty much the norm with crossfire though.

Cool thanks will have a look. My Q9550 at 3.6GHz is probably a mild bottleneck...
 
Just found out that my GPU only has a 1 year warranty which will end in a few days time :mad: but then again it's my stupidity for not finding out before buying it.

Yup, i know some folk can't see so i just linked it.

Yea it changes all the time. Generally the cheaper brands only carry a 1 year. It's not always the best to go with the cheaper brands unless the saving is huge.

Perhaps but you have to see bf 3 on ultra with 16 af and AA on high. It looks bloody remarkable. When you stand and look around everything is crisp and clear. With the settings turned down the edges look jagged. Honestly bf 3 in all it's glory is a sight to behold.

But is it R5k better? (was just quickly jumping the pages in this thread and saw some prices) In multi-player I tend to drop the settings some so I can see you pesky BFC boys better anyway :p

Well it depends hey, i have only just got the ati driver to use both my 6970 cores and i was running medium because the one was not coping so well and the difference is remarkable. I was getting annoyed but after i loaded up the new drivers it is very much worth it. If you have the money to spend it is very much worth it. The detail is far better.

Oddly enough in bf 3 the only setting that makes you see any better is turning of the ambient lighting. It's that bbsao and ssaoa or something like that.
