Graphics Cards for Games

i had that card but the 128 meg version and it played bf 2 all settings to medium which is good

its much beter than 6200 trust me buy that card rather

pity u cant spend more 280 rand more on the 6600gt cause i got one for 956 or something and its awesome

best deal in the world
 
I run on an FX5500. It works just fine. A 6200 would be even better. You just have to realise that you must settle for lower detail settings than the guys who can afford R3K+ on a graphics card!

But I just hate the way that if only you had a bit more money you could get "X" and for just a little more you can get "X2" and then it could be "X3". And then even if you buy the latest, greatest, fastest and bestest, by the time you install it in your pc it's outdated already!

but for R3k now you can find a gem of a 7900GT... it would have been unbelievable to see such a card at that price a year ago.
 
But is it really worth spending the money?
I've played competitively with various cards from bottom to top of the range and honestly in my opinion it is not worth the money.

just because someone paid 5k and you paid 900 rand for your card doesnt make them a better gamer

just they have a nicer looking game
 
i had a 6600 GT AGP, best budget card imo... recently bought a 6800GT256AGP from ebay for just over R1000-00. faster than i expected tho'..
