Hey Guys,

So I'm thinking about buying in the Greenstone Ridge Complex that is being built.

Its going to be a rather massive complex, with a total of 6 apartments per block.

The usual setup is:
2 x 3 Bed, 2 Bath garden unit on the ground floor. From R1 099 900
2 x 3 Bed, 2 Bath Balcony units on the 1st floor. From R1 099 900
2 x 2 Bed, 2 Bath Balcony unit on the 2nd Floor. from R969 900
2 x 2 Bed, 2 Bath Balcony unit on the 3nd Floor. from R969 900

Some of the buildings also have 1 Bed 1 bath units, but not to interested in those.

No the one I'm looking at is the 3rd floor 2 bed 2 bath units.

You get the following with the apartment:
Fridge, Washing Machine, Tumble-dryer, dishwasher, stove (gas) , extractor fan, oven.

The apartments are also already prepaid electricity.

The complex is going to have a gym, running track, squash courts etc.

Levies for the unit i want are between 700-800. rates and taxes 250-300.

Whats your opinions on this?

First.
Rates for R969900 in Ekurhuleni is R505pm not R300.
rebate is first R150000 and .0074 cents in the rand.

Also you will find levies are underestimated most likely.

Just out of interest, are the ground floor units pet friendly?

Its a Balwin development... they're not too bad, but they're not spectacular either.. I lived in the Kanyin for awhile after they'd just finished it.... few of the finishes were not up to my standard, but nothing major broke or anything of that nature.
