Grocery Specials Thread

Can someone explain to me the big deal about BK? Looks like McD, Smells like McD, tastes like McD.

Think you need to get your nose or tastebuds checked, doesn't smell nor taste anything like Macdonalds, maybe overseas but here it's vastly different.

Ellis Brown and Cremora is the same product made by the same company aimed at different segments of the market.

What????? Nestle makes Cremora and AVI makes Ellis Brown.

Nee man, ons werk hier met kos.

In other news, my local Burger King (The sancury, Somerset West) is giving out free 'burgers':

Buy a R6 cone via drivethrough, do the survey and head inside and buy a R20+ item and get a free whopper! So for R35 :o you can get a cone, a value meal and a Whopper...

Awesome thanks man I'm totally gonna do....

/reads description

/considers effort involved to get free burger................

Umm, nope. New BK opened in Kyalami. Kids persuaded us to go. Twice - once for me, once for my wife. Looks, smells & tastes like McD. At R80+ for whopper aka McD I'd rather (actually, I did) walk 100 metres to the Baron & have a burger & chips with a free draught beer.

They have amended the terms to exclude items that are "on promotion" so the above won't work anymore. Your best bet is probably R38.90 for a R6 cone and 2 whoppers.
