Hi all. Im trying to install GTA IV, but everytime it copies data from datacab2 I get a "Feature transfer error" Error = Catastrophic Failure.
I have searched the net and tried all possible solutions.
So far i have tried:
Disabling the AV
Installing in safe mode
Deleting all temp files in the temp folder
Copied the dvd`s to my hdd

And after all that still no luck.
Can some one please help?

I have uploaded a scrrenshot of the error.

Use alcohol 120% or VCD 9
Burn a image and then install
If you use VCD9 it will tell you if data is corrupted..

Thanks - will try that now.
I searched the net and it seems that allot of people had this problem.

I get the same error, there seems to be only one way of fixing it. Format and re install your OS. Which I am not exactly too thrilled about.

Quik1: Did you manage to get this fixed?

Not sure what OS you're using...

but you need the latest service pack for XP, Vista requires SP1 at least and 7 needs a bit of compatibility mode to install.

OK, got it installed. This is what I done:

First, search your pc, for "GTA IV", and then delete whatever the results are.

Second, go to the registry and search again for "GTA IV", there are quite a few entries, delete them all as well.

And then try again installing from the disc.
