Hi guys I need some info. I currently only have an MTN 3g data bundle for internet at home right (expensive!). I am keen to get GTA IV pc version and I know that I need internet to register online when installing which is fine. But do I need an internet connection every time I play or just during setup? I am very keen to buy this game but the internet thing is the deciding factor.

You have the option to play offline once you register, only problem is that your windows live online profile will not count the "G" achievements earned while offline but if you don't play online it should not concern you.

A friend has it and he told me you need to be online to save. Get an xbox and the xbox version that does not need net access.

This is incorrect, I have the PC version and play offline.

I bought the game legal and Securom was messing my PC around so I found myself a Securom bypass and you can save offline perfectly... Just make sure that you have the latest version of Windows Live

Ok, well good to hear that it will work as long as I'm not 100% legal. Wtf is up with being online to save a game. Way to go promoting piracy.

No... stop believing this, mine is 100% legal and when I launch the game I have the option to play/save offline just like older versions of GTA.

These rumors of not being able to save offline are spread by those who obviously don't know how to follow instructions or have pirated it.

Just follow these steps to setup your game.

I still have problems with this pathetic game... No matter how hard I try, I can't get it to work on XP... It only works on Vista with me :(

Do u have SP 3?,cause the new GTA neeeeds it.
Yep. My modified XP has SP3 slipstreamed. Neither my modified XP nor my OEM original XP with SP3 added on work. They have different outcomes though

i've also had this problem before,i have 2 Pc's..one Vista and one XP it worked fine on Vista and could not work on Win Xp,so after a lot of tampering i found out that my win XP copy was out of date and the new GTA needs and up to date version
