This is the latest from ArenaNet...

We're happy to let you know that if you own Prophecies and have activated a Factions Pre-order on your account, you will be able to access your two new character slots during the Factions Head Start Event. The slots will become available and will have access to Cantha from 12:01 a.m. PDT (7:01 GMT) on Thursday, April 27th through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 28th (6:59 GMT on April 29th). After the close of the Head Start Event, Canthan characters and Factions content will not be accessible until a retail key is activated on the account. The character slots will enjoy a "grace period" of ten days, to allow you to enter your retail access key and make them permanent.

Obviously it comes from the official GW site but local is lekker :p

btw... The CE has been delayed world wide by 1 week. The normal version of the game was shipped world wide today.

I ordered DVD's from Take2 (all in-stock items) last week, which would have arrived this week, but earlier in the week I receive a "Sorry, but our suppliers...." notice from them.
Coincidence? I think not! :eek:
 
It's not only a delay in South Africa lildeath, it's a worldwide delay.
 
Is there a perhaps a quest 1 can do to earn extra attribute points? :)

There are two quest you can do.

The first one you get in Destiny's Gorge (Crystal Desert) and the second one you get from Vanyi in Droknars Forge.

You need to be ascended before you can do these quests though.

We have great news about availability of the Guild Wars Factions Collector's Edition! As you may know, some stores are reporting a shortage of the Collector's Edition. In truth, it appears that we underestimated the demand and manufactured too few copies. In order to correct this shortage, we are currently producing additional copies of the CE. These copies have an anticipated ship date of June 30th. We sincerely thank the Guild Wars community for its incredible support of Factions, and look forward to seeing you in the game soon!

cantha is awesome dig the oriental theme and names.... samurai look cool as well

you're gonna have a jol!!!

assasin is awesome you can do a 3 skill combo - lead attack+off hand attack+ dual attack for +- 60 dmg....and im only on lvl 4 at the moment
plus shadow stepping is sweet.....from just outside aggro range select a target and you get teleported in their face for some combo madness

gonna be a very powerful class to use later game i reckon....

@ Pitbull - i'll prolly then only join you after 9pm tonight then.....
 
lol this is crazy - you need to collect 250 naga fangs to able to join the festival!!
people are offering crazy amounts of coin for the fangs
its insane in here! lol
 
ye, Factions is thus far looking very cool. I've been playing for 2hrs now and I havent even done any quests yet, just checking out the lay of the land.

It sure is expansive. Took my one GW char to Cantha, will create a new char later. Even saw this sexy Assassin on Battle Isles, dam she is sexy without clothes on :D. Dance moves r very kwl too!! :cool:

@DS, not a lot going on in the other side of the world (Tyria), lotsa ppl asking how to get to Cantha (guy even advertised that he will show the way for 1K, unbelievable!!:eek: ), LA, Droks, other farming places almost nothing going on...maybe later it will pick up.
BTW, is Take2 even open today?
Anyway, gonna be even better further, I bet, once I start doing the missions.
 
one thing I definitely like is the caption windows (with pic) the NPCs have when talking, like for a mission and stuff, very COOL!! :D
