Here is what has actually been released:
"We're happy to let you know that if you own Prophecies and have activated a Factions Pre-order on your account, you will be able to access your two new character slots during the Factions Head Start Event. The slots will become available and will have access to Cantha from 12:01 a.m. PDT (7:01 GMT) on Thursday, April 27th through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 28th (6:59 GMT on April 29th). After the close of the Head Start Event, Canthan characters and Factions content will not be accessible until a retail key is activated on the account. The character slots will enjoy a "grace period" of ten days, to allow you to enter your retail access key and make them permanent."
I understand this is open to interpretation, but I think what they mean is that anything that is on a Factions char or the Canthan continent will not be accessible, of course u could have sold items to other Prophecies players. This will remain accessible. :D
You can even travel with your Prophecies chars to Cantha, farm what you want and travel back to Tyria. All this will remain intact as well.
Only Canthan continent and Factions chars will not be accessible till it is made permanent with retail key.
Makes sense to me. :cool:
Of course you can start wondering about what will happen in the case u used one of the 4 1st char slots (from Prophecies) for Factions because they only talk about the 2 additional slots that was added with the Factions activation above .... :rolleyes:
 
@mccrack Don't know if it is done yet. I think there might still be a few more days. I am unsure as to the facts of the matter :p

But for me, the preview event is over :( I really wanna finish the prophesies campaign before starting the factions campaign, so, i'd better get started in earnst ;)
 
same goes for me paragon - still got quite a bit to go in prophecies

although its nice keeping up with the pack from the get go in cantha

that was a solid nights guild wars'ing - time to go get very lil sleep :)

wow, wot a "Day of the Tengu" huh!!
I wonder if the Tengu will now look more friendly unto me with my Tengu mask? :D
I shall wear my fancy mask right as every last bit of life leaves their bodies :D

prophecies: Risana ranger

factions: Isa Daggorshiv


lol after a couple of weeks my ranger is lvl 11
yesterday i created an assasin - she is now also lvl 11 :o !!!
makes me think i need to work on mah ranger a bit ;)

lol at lil death - taunting the tengu as they die ;)
but i like the tengu - definately up there with the kickass fantasy races imo.
 
well ordered factions for me from Take2....about 5 minutes later i get email stating that my product is ready and i can go and pick it up.....man i wish i could go home early from work ....now i have to wait till after work then go pick it up and play,play,play.....for anyone else who wants to get it that not living in cape town, it states only 1 shipping day...they have stock on hand so its just the delivery to your door ....
 
So what do u guys think of the new characters ?

I havent played with the ritualist yet but I think the assasin is gonne be a really strong character at level 5 she already got some awesome skills :D
 
@DS, I like the assassin too, havent played a lot with her but the killer combos will be awesome!! :D
Am looking forward to starting a ritualist as well!! ;) yummy

@Soulburner, ye, thats true. I even got 2 additional pre-order copies (friends that didn't have) from CNA in Century City yesterday. 'Twas the last tho ... :D
but maybe there will be other places that also still have these pre-order box sets (R50), tho it might not be worth it anymore for some peeps :cool:
 
assasin is awesome....just doesnt like along of punishment for a melee hero tho
of course if you go warrior second that'll make a diff.
but i've gone ranger second.....i wanted to tame me a tiger ;)

they have like kodo dragons with flowers growing on their backs....called dragon lilly's LOL very interesting indeed
 
@DS, I am still sceptical about the R50 pre-order keys. The key from the R50 CNA pre-order does say it is to give you access to the head start event, so I am still thinking you will have to input a retail key within 10 days. It's tricky, i was hoping they would say something on the covers about beta, or temp , etc, but nothing, not a word. :confused:
Am hoping I will get my CE edition soon ... :cool:
 
I just created a new account because I still want to finish the first campaign and when my CE comes I will install it and hopefully be finished with first campaign
