Guild Wars, questions...

Hi guys, i want to buy torments armor for my necro, but what does "holy damage you recieve will increase by 5" mean. Is there any enemies that can give holy damage??

Yay, we finally got to Frost gate via Borliss Pass quest, hows that saying go 4th time lucky :p

Im not seeing any quests in Frost Gate tho, are there any near?

Holy dmg is done by monks or any skills associated with them.
If you get the full set of tormentors it may come back to bite you (literally) :D
For instance, blessed gryphons and shadows use monk skills, (balthazar's aura, retribution, shield / signet of judgement, etc) some of those tree fellows (oaks) use the "monk" skills too.
They will then do you 'normal' dmg, +5 xtra dmg per piece of tormentor's armor.
I have never bought the full set, only wearing 1-2 pieces max of tormentors at any one time. :D

hhmm, I think it would be better to complete Frost Gate and move on to get to Beacon's Perch. from here there are a few missions you can do in the surrounding area, which will take you towards Frost gate area anyway, if you want to map (Deldrimor Bowl, Anvil Rock) :D
 
What kind of necro armor do you guys recommend? And where can i get it from.:confused:
 
OMG just finished Menace in the Market place yesterday

That was damn nasty... Also did assist the guards.... Nasty...

Just a warning if haven't done the quest yet... Be very very prepaired.

I have been in parties that killed lich on the first try. He has to be exactly in the centre. Even one milimeter off and he regens.

LOL!! Seems like a lotta ppl agree (mccrack, aCe, now u) with what I said more than a week ago that Factions is hectic!! ;)
Loads of fun though :D :cool:
Wait till you play the main missions not too far on from where you are now :p

Yes, one sometimes gets a party member that stands to close to the centre etc. and then the lich cannot move right to the centre as he walks inwards. It tends to result in a lot of "Move away from the lich" screaming in the mission chat.
 
@gkm- rofl. Yea, it is always very funny to type, fight and stay alve at the same time ;)

when i finished the mission we had to kill him twice as well, but it would be interesting to experiment to c what difference his position would make to him eating the rock upon which he standeth :p

As a baseline, def the armor you get from Droknar. Best armor in the game.
There are other places (Granite Citadel, Marhan's Grotto, 15k / piece ) that gives you status, but that's all, no added benefit 'cept for the "cool" factor. :D

Personally, I prefer the bonelace / fanatics armor (increases armor against piercing attacks) and tormentors / necrotic armor (highest AR but increases holy dmg). The above 2 of each (bonelace / fanatics and tormentors / necrotic) just looks different but they do the same, so depends on your choice of what you want the armor to look like.

I normally wear a mixture between the 2, fanatics and tormentor's.

I have never really gone after nrgy (other armor), if you put enough skills into soul reaping, you will not have a shortage. :cool:

Scar patterns: buy something which will give you a + skill and is which inline with your primary skill, i.e. +1 death, +1 blood, +1 soul or +1 curses.

better get that macro keyboard and code this in when doing an attack combo "Step away from the lich!!" :D
 
Just finished Tannakai Temple last night... Advice, for any of the missions - always have 1 MM in the group (makes life so much easier) :D
