Guild Wars, questions...

Damn Pitbull that really sucks..:(

Well i had a rather good weekend of guildwars.....for once i did not play with a bunch of noobs who leaves when they die .....just with the one run had some noobs who did not want to do bonus so the rest of us went for bonus and the two losing noobs went on with the storyline....they died and lied there for probably 15-20 minutes before we decided to res them cause we finished the bonus first....oh well....

Played some factions as well.....my assasin is coming along, did the one attribute bonus mission thought its gonna be hard as hell but it was not that bad.

i have a little question about factions: how do i progress further in the game?
i just finished Sunjiang district..what do i do now...do i have to do all the quests givne to me by the luxons and kurzicks?

Have you entered the Luxon or Kurzicks city, ala Cavalon or House zu Heltzer? You can get the quests to enter them from Maatu Keep. You then need to do the friend thing for one of them as far as I know (I am busy doing that).

wow ppl sure are far :D I've just gotten to The Temple of something... but I think I'll go do some pvping for a bit

I've decided to abandon my assassin.

It's way to frustrating dying so often. 133 deaths in 30 hours game play.

I started a MM late on saturday evening and after 10h30m I made level 20 :)

I'm now at the same point where I was with my assassin in only 13 hours. Not dying as often makes the world of difference. I'm about to do the closer to the stars mission and I've so far managed to make my way through the game with relative ease with henchman which was sadly not the case with the assassin.

**** class in my opinion.

Yes, I find when I play monk, the assasin in the party always seems to die first and foremost. I think the assasin simply does not have the armor to deal will up close damage, so except if one hops in and out all the time, death seems to be the only result.

That's hectic man! I actually like the assassin to some degree... have only died 22 times with I think roughly the same amount of hrs, mebbe a bit more.

This is def true, especially the assassin henchies, panaku and mai or some such...they always the first to die.
I make use of the +15 armor bonus to get as much AR as possible. First one into a battle generally results in being pwned.

Jeepers, wot a nite of gaming for me it was, hectic man, hectic...
My ADSL dropped in the middle of a run to droks... the guys thought I stole their money... so I get back on with GPRS to explain situation to them and start again...a flurry of terrible lags and horrible spawns...decide to stuff it, call it quits for running.
And just as I decide to call it...my ADSL come back up again and I run the guys through...finally... 3 damned hrs later !! :(
Dam man such stuff aint good for my rep ;)
Still wanted to go help mccrack but he seemed busy with n00bs
PS> 1st time I've had such bad lag on GPRS. Will check later to see if there were any int. problems that caused ADSL and GPRS probs.
G'nite

@ aCe - I 100% agree with you - i'm in the same predicament as you were....
very frustrating....i've been threatening to dump the assassin...i think i'm gonna do so tonight

Hey lilDeath, thanks for the run (even if it took 3 hours to eventually get there :) ) Cool to finally see someone from myadsl in there. We would have definitly made it to Droks the first time if it wasnt for 007!!

quick question:

so a buddy wants to leave his guild....but he's the leader, how does he go about it ?

is selling the only option ?
have not owned a guild yet so i dont know.

thx

ta

Is he the only member? If there are other members, he can make on of them leader and then leave. Otherwise, if he is alone, I think he can talk to the guild registrar to disband the guild.

@ Dan, sounds bout rite what gkm is saying. This is why ppl try to sell guilds in-game cause they just add the ppl to their guild and make them the leaders and then leave themselves. I think though that in order to disband you can simply click the icon next to your name and say leave guild (after removing all ppl out of the guild). No need to talk to registrar. Of course you lose the money you used to pay for the guild this way.

I have come to the conclusion that there are only kiddies left in Tyria,
people are constantly leaving the missions when they die making is impossible too finish the missions.

IMO the assasin is a good class if played correctly, the same applies to any another class. An assasin is NOT a warrior - everyone in GW makes this mistake (initially me included), and this is the very reason assasins all die 1st.

Tip - Shadow arts keep assasins alive longer
Critical strikes manage their energy

Can anyone tell me where I can get ectoplasms from besides buying them? :)
This drops in UnderWorld if I am not mistaken, one of the areas you can travel to form the avatars in ToA.

I must agree it's easier with my w/mo class in factions than it is with my Monky too... Monks seem to lack the ability to deal much damage and if your build is a pure healer you're pretty much screwed with henchies seeing as you must be the first to initiate battle and once the enermy fixate on you the stupid healer henchie dones't help heal till it's too late :(
