Guild Wars, questions...

Morning All,

so Jhb is gonna have a high of 13 degrees on the weekend.....ouch!


My question of the moment:

ok so why the heck am i carrying items that " apparently" give energy +4(and do not require anything) for eg.....

but if i put em in storage....my energy doesnt decrease by 4....and if i try place it in that slot i asked about i get a nice huge red circle crossing it...

just curious....i'm obviously missing the plot somewhere.....cuz...i could definatley use additional energy...

Nice weather to play GW :D

I bought my GW Zboard yesterday, its so cool but i keep pressing the wrong buttons or spend atleast 1/2 hour trying to find the autorun key, i know its the R button but i wanted to press the autorun key :P anycase i need to get used to it still but its so freaking cool :D

Hiya, nice weather ;)
What's actually happening is that you are already carrying a 2-handed weapon that will make your second slot have a "stop" sign / red circle around it. Meaning that whatever you place there will not be actively in use.
This voids whatever bonuses you may get from the item in the off-hand slot.
If I remember correctly, you are ranger in Prophecies and all bows (as far as I know) are 2-handed weapons, so for a ranger to carry an off-hand item is going to be difficult. ;)
Assassin is the same in Factions. As they can carry daggers which are also 2-handed weapons.
No use for off-hand items for these chars :p

In order to use the off-hand slot you must use a 1-handed weapon in your primary weapon slot.

saw one the other day and they do look very nice and will probably play very nice / useful too.

i have 2 chars.....1 ranger and 1 assasin LOL so ye - ill forget that slot for now then :)
 
Do the ettins run north of Lions Arch.

Start in Beetletun and run East and kill all the Ettins. When you get to the portal head through. Run East again through the Settlement and kill everything (especially ettins). Continue running East till you get to the next portal, and go through. Turn around and head back through the portal again, and run all the way back.
 
cool, thats not a tough area at all either....could do with a couple sup runes myself :D
 
I have decided to not play with any players 'cept for me and my trusty henchies...
Every time thus far over the last couple of weeks when I am in a group of players, THEY get all the good drops (green / gold, even bloody purples) while I get very nice white drops...
Like last night... Bloody Sup Vigor drop... :eek:
BUT ... was it for me??? NNNOOOOO!! :(

oh dont complain, you got that gold drop the other night while playing Iron Mines with me :D

I think we all feel that way.

Last night a lucky player got 6 drops in a row ...... a bit odd ....
 
the best drop I have gotten recently was tuesday evening I got a dragos flat bow after biaching and moaning what a bitch he was and not giving us the bow... it ended up for me!!!! :D

but damn I had a n00b team... they did not understand how to correctly do Oro farm... and two of us got a drop then the w/mo left cos he didn't get any (after killing the non-quest bosses) the SS and MM couldn't kill for **** and ran like a headless chicken when they get attacked :(

I got 2 many greens clogging up my storage,

Think i should sell em, maybe make a few bucks, not like i'm using them anyway.
 
for PVE it's the best bow for PVP a stinger, that other bow from UW is the better ones :D
 
Sigh.....Im still looking for an Ragos for my Ele. Ihave had one green dropped in my Eles life... a Truncheon.
 
:D I have to find one for a guildie too :D

guess I must go do some FA farming now :D
