guildwars.com not available

I am having the same issue. Can't access it when using my Vodacom Datacard, can't access it at work using our internet connection provided by IS, but can access it fine when using my Virgin Mobile data card...

edg3 is my hero.

:D

Can't get to it via Opera Mini either - and that's supposed to be Opera (i.e. server in America?) loading the GuildWars.com stuff, optimizing it and sending it to my phone. Apparently the GW tech folks say, "Oh well, it works for me. Clearly it's your problem." Even though multiple people in multiple countries are experiencing the 500. Pity I lost the link to that thread.

If you're using the dsl-cache.saix.net proxy you're going to have problems.

Someone here ran a tracert the other day and it appears as if Telkom are using some sort of invisible proxy which is what is causing the problems.

A friend of mine who connects from an international corporate internet connection dropped them an email reporting the issue; no response yet though.

Yes, it is still a problem. They (SAIX) do not appear to do anything about it, or perhaps doesn't even know of it.

IS, Verizon and MTN works 100%, but the moment you use the SAIX network: BAM = 500 error.

EDIT: Vodacom actually also doesn't work, since they use the SAIX network as well.

Just for some feedback...

This was a personal issue for me, so I have been dealing with SAIX and NCsoft since the 9th on this issue.

Several calls have been logged before because of this. Consequently, SAIX and NCsoft has been in contact and basically some other networks were also having problems accessing their sites.

Some changes have been made and it looks good from the SAIX network again. This is especially for ADSL.

I would be interested to know if people are still having problems accessing - http://www.guildwars.com, http://wiki.guildwars.com and http://wiki.guildwars2.com

I can access them all... I've with webafrica

I'm on SAIX and I didn't have a problem when the latest problem seemed to occur with other people.

That could be Lydon, they said they had already made some changes but apparently 'did not go all the way' in making the changes. This was due to earlier problems that were escalated to them.

I cannot get to wikis (official) on IBurst, but can get on GW website. I'm not only one, who having such trouble - guildies also cannot access wiki, although they live in different parts of South Africa and use different ISPs.

What possible solution may be?

The wiki is working for me (WebAfrica ADSL). Try contacting iBurst - it may be a problem on their side.

Yes, that's the problem we had until I started fighting with SAIX and ANet about it.

It is either browser caching on transparent caching proxies or routing problems.
I would suggest that you contact your ISP to find out which networks they are using for browsing to international sites like Guild Wars and that they must resolve it.
If you can supply more detail of your friends having the problems and what ISPs they are using, that will help.

Lydon, lilDeath, thank you for useful advice. Sent them an letter. Now I'm waiting for response...

It is strange though, because I have been testing all the ANet sites again for GW and they all work for me, from all the different networks, SAIX, IS, Verizon, MTN.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help further.
