Sierra works on my VMware station but for some reason I cannot use Unity Mode.

Does anyone know why?

Looks awesome.

What specs/hardware do I need if I want to buy myself a hakintosh

Visit the TonyMac site for hardware recommendations. Generally, intel and nvidia hardware works the easiest. Stay away from Celeron/Pentium CPUs. Post your current hardware here and we'll help you. Also, laptops can be a pain in the ass. Much easier on a desktop.

Is the latest Apple macs Nvidia or AMD, I'd love to go AMD has Nvidia prices seems out of whack. But then again all pc parts seem ridiculous out of proportion now in terms of pricing.

AMD GPUs.

Tonymac website has all the recommended part list. Pricing definitely out of proportion, probably due to rand fluctuations.

Struggling to get the bootloader to work on my dell notebook. Runs perfectly and installs fine. However can't get the bootloader to install and dual boot windows with macos.

Make sure secure boot is disabled.

I am wanting to buy new PC soon. I am in two minds about a Hackintosh or just buying a 2015 iMac or MacBook Pro and creating a nice desk setup. The missus (being a photographer) has an iMac at work so she would love Apple or MS. I want to start playing around that at home and fun 3D stuff again (maybe dabble with Unreal Engine). What you guys reckon?

Box is too big, need ddr4 atleast 32Gb, must be SSD at the very least preferably M.2 and not sure that graphics card will be up for the task (adobe).

But seems straightforward ie stick to Intel cpu and amd graphic cards

Absolutely. I didn't need it for any heavy lifting so for my needs it's perfect. The beauty of a Hack is, if you want more power or you want to change things around, you can do it at will.

Unity mode only works with Linux/Windows guests. I don't think apple even want people to have MacOS in a VM.
That sucks penis balls.

Where does one aquire a installation disk?

I have a 128Gb m.2 that I can load Mac on.

You don't get disks for MacOS. You just download it from the Mac App Store for free. Or just copy it from a friend that has a Mac. There's no license keys or activation.

From a friend that has a mac, HAHA my friends are poor.

I shall download it from the VM's appstore no special requirements just search mac iso and download?

You get it from the Mac App Store. Just search for MacOS. More or less a 5GB download.

***Update**

So, I got my hands on a Nvidia GT 620 graphics card. Swopped out my GT210 I had in there originally. Booted up with no issues at all. Card uses the default macOS driver so no need for the Nvidia Webdriver (which I uninstalled after the upgrade). Installed the 10.12.2 Combo update and that also went off without a hitch. In short, my Hackintosh is doing great :D

Edit : Fogot to add the biggest upgrade ... I stuck in a Samsung Evo 500GB SSD. Machine is flying. Cloned with Carbon Copy Cloner. Copied the EFI partition from my old drive to the new drive after having to firsst boot with the USB installer. Job done ;)
