If you REALLY REALLY need to try out OSX buy a Mac.;) or go take a look at the demo Mac at the store's.

Has any one here successfully installed MAC OS Leopard onto a "PC" based Laptop ???

If so please could you provide some tips links resources FAQ etc etc

(was thinking this might do good on my DELL Precision [and set it free from the "dark-side" :D] )

Thanks

THANKS

Actually I attended a sort of MAC morning the other day -- so YES I see the point of your link :D

I just find the "real-deal" MAC hardware not as well specc/ed , too limiting and too expensive.

I find it unfortunate that Apple have always had this thing about "hardware" -- ours and nobody elses.

I might not purchase the "real-deal" but I might consider purchasing the software ( if it was reasonably priced )

Would Apple rather have more revenue and a possible "convert" -- or stick to their stoopid EULA

I mean -- how much more is "Leopard" than the latest iteration of UBUNTU ????

Honestly though, you don't need all that power in a laptop if you're running OSX, snow leopard will be even more efficient, apple allows you to upgrade the HDD and ram easily anyway.

FAQ

Thanks for the links

THIS -- looks like one of the easiest ways to do it

Anyone have a copy of the torrent mentioned here ??? Would like to try this ( for educational purposes :) ) but afraid my patience runs out with these types of downloads.

I am not sure that one would have full functionality , so I will most likely uninstall it.

Still what would life be like with only ever being able to use ONE type of computing device and ONE Operating system -- and never being able to "hack" things --

BORING
