Lets look at South Africa's leadership, any one there that is a successful hit? Sars maybe? ... who is the minister there?
Then lets look at:
Schools and education
Transport
Service delivery
Military
Police

Ag to many to mention. See any trend here?

Oh yeah, do not forget the health Department.

Now correlate all that, the successes, with the rest of Africa. Look at the wealth they, the leadership elite, created for themselves as compared to their abused subjects, that means the populace or people that voted for them, still not seeing a trend?
I rest my other African case!

Why do Black leaders keep using the excuse of the white man, colonialists and apartheid for the piss poor state of their countries? I hear your point about without the white man but think about Africa and how much it relies on AID from other countries. Sadly that AID very rarely gets to where it should. Pockets run deep in Africa.

I dunno i just get the feeling with the way you defend African leaders that you cannot see the obvious facts. I am not saying race does affect a leader i am just saying in Africa it certainly seems to. It seems African leaders are so scared of being pushed out that basically destroy their country so it cannot happen. Maybe you have an explanation as to why African leaders act the way that article i posted portrays them. Maybe you have some idea's why they ruin countries with corruption and violence.

it appeared that way and i did get frustrate too quickly. i'm not defending african leaders, i'm defending africans, the people that suffer and then are thought to be like their leaders. but i also feel from the things i've read and looked up that these african leaders are not alone to blame, that they've created an enviroment where they are favoured by overseas companies, and despite countries placing embargoes on african countries those diamonds/resources are still going somewhere.

I have no answer why they do it and it saddens to me to see how rich africa is in minerals and possibilities and then i have face reality and see that even though Africa could be an amazing continent there is basically nothing but poverty and corruption and accepting hand outs.

i especially agree with that, and i know it's silly to compare a manager to an african leader but black people are people too, and it just feels degrading to me that we refer it to the african way. we see people on tv and in the media committing crime and and burning things to the ground but then i go visit my zulu friend's family and hear their stories and the things they have to deal with. they're also very good people and it affects me badly when i think of comparing their way of life with other people's view of the "african way."

africa is corrupt and probably the motherland of waste and destruction, but black people are not always the cause of it, they're often just as much the victims and they have no internet presence or security as other countries do. the most casualities from african wars are civilians.

i'm not going to compare good black people to idiots just because they share a race. there have been black mayors in america who have done their job perfectly well, and there are plenty of black doctors and lawyers in other countries who can read and perform successful surgeries, so this has nothing to do with race.

thank you, until recently i had only read other material. i understood that zimbabwe had to sell it's stockpiles to pay the world bank, and the following year they had a drought. i also understood it was complete economic sanctions.

Yeah I agree with you full/whole heartedly. We are not talking about America. We are talking about Africa, Africans and in particular South Africa. Its not about the colour of the skin but rather WHY Africa and South Africans fail to meet the standards when placed in positions of authority. That is the million dollar question that begs an answer! Please!
