Halaal restaurants

you missed the Jimmy's killer fish and chips, Mochahcos and the Debonairs.

Think there is a halaal indian restaurant there as well

Have been to Thava I think it's called, Indian place. Very fancy like, not like your typical fordies joint. But the food all tasted sweet and seasoned for Europeans

Don't take my word for it. A couple of people I know absolutely love it.

not really my area so wont go specially will decide to try one day :)

Speaking of Indian Restaurants there's a halal Taj palace in north cliff (north cliff corner shopping centre on Beyers) that's close to you (well closer then Fordsburg :) )

I haven't tried it yet though

Going to try out Pizza Hut

Don't hold your breath. I found Pizza Hut (Norwood) to be pretty bland with a "thin" base that was actually quite thick.

Going to give it another crack at the newly opened Fordsburg branch.

Thx will have a try. My bro lives round the corner from there

There's a Halal Butcher in the same shopping centre - I wasn't happy with their Marinated meats - but their chops were very good

I actually liked the Thick base Pizza at Norwood - granted bought 3 Pizza one they burned or something wasnt too lekker.
2 out of 3 ain't :p bad

No pork on Menu - they said they get from Halaal supplier but i'm in doubt .

Tried emailing them get a Mail Delivery failure not a good sign there.

All the Malawi okes go there when they are here. Was going to recommend to someone but wasn't too sure

I'll think ill stick to Romans for now. Besides Lenz and Fordsburg any other halaal Romans?

Speaking of Lenz, the Cheese Basket on Protea has some awesome cheeses and also well priced. Gouda going at R60 odd a kilo.

a few in Durban and cape town nothing much in Gauteng excpt for Lenz Fordburg and Laudium.
Unfortunately for me nothing close :( either Romans or Pizza hut

Oh that reminds me therese a few nice places on Ontdekkers road.
Henriks Pizza (flora Centre) quite a nice place with a varied Menu.
Mexicos (a mochachos Knock off) and Eatilys ( I think thats how its spelt) - they next to each other and owned by the same people so can cross order.
Mexicos basically the same menu as a Mochachos but the service and the way they prepare is better and Eatily is their pizza place had it once very cool options.
