Hand Luggage on Mango

I don't fly often and I'm going to Cape Town next week for a night on Mango. I don't want to check anything in for a single night ... So was wondering if they have issues with a notebook and toiletries?

I read no deo or hair gel over 100ml ... But also read on domestic flights they're not too bad?

I regularly go with a laptop and a overnight bag. Just be reasonable as I've seen folks try take suitcases as hand luggage. As mentioned above, there are clear guidelines as well.
