Hand luggage shoot out

1 work week travel:
Laptop bag, with 1 or 2 laptops in.
Smallest carryon trolley bag I can find:
2 pairs trousers
5 x shirts,
6 pairs of socks
6 x underwear
2x tshirt
1 pair formal work shoes
Toiletry bag

I would wear jeans and if it is hot, I will put my kway fleece jacket around my waist.
A pair of takkies or casual shoes on my feet.

Upon arrival at hotel, I will iron my clothes and hang the clothes in the closet.

Many trips, it works for me.

Also, I dont have to hang out at the carousal, no lost baggage etc.

Three pairs of trousers for a week? Diva.

I'd have the pair I'm wearing and one spare. Maybe only a backup pair of shorts if I was confident about not shitting myself.

I used to do that with a travel steam iron. These days I buy Woolies Travel Shirts.

I once had a trouser tear, with no backup. So two goes with me.

Jeans is there in case I want to have a beer at a pub.

Anti-theft properties. No-one will steal it. No-one will think that it holds anything of value.

In the 80s I used an old plastic SAA bag to carry my Nikon body, various lenses and flash around in. I had a smart aluminium case with custom compartments, but never used it.

MSI GE70 - Heat Problem

Hi, This is my first post, hope it is in the correct section. I recently bought an MSI-GE70-2OE039. When playing Crysis 3 or Dirt 3, within 15 minutes the CPU reach temperatures of between 94 & 97 degrees. Are these temperatures normal for the GE70 series laptops? I've sent the laptop...

I'm flying to Joburg later this week. I usually have a small check in luggage case thing, but this time I'll have a carry-on bag and my laptop bag. I'd put everything in 1 bag, but I need the laptop bag for work up there unfortunately.
 
Smallest North Face duffel (can also be backpack), bought the last one in SA, at the time, around thirteen or so years ago for R400. Still going strong. Don't do checked luggage unlike the couple in Cancun with fifteen bags and three porters!
 
For shorter trips, 3 days or so. A northface borealis.

And for longer stays, the Osprey Transporter 40L. It's like a dimensional pocket. I've lived out of it for 2 weeks.

Both have served me very well in South Africa and abroad.

On our last trip in April there was a layover at Doha. On arriving in Cape Town, both suitcases did not turn up. One arrived 2 weeks later and looked like it had been squashed, was wet and had a purple stain. We were offered US$140 compensation. QATAR airways wanted receipts for everything. No good telling them some of the receipts for stuff we bought in Japan was in the missing suitcase

9 years back our luggage did not turn up in Istanbul. We were to join an archeological trip. The luggage was waiting for us when we got back to the airport 3 weeks later. Complete indifference from staff

Anybody put airtags inside their check-in luggage?

P.S. I recently bought a Samsonite Respark carry-on. Be warned, that thing's balance is all over the place.

The regional manager has asked me to bring it in and they'll check it. I hope to exchange for another model.

One in the suitcase in the hold, and one in my carry on.

I once bought Samsung Airtags, just to find out it only works with Samsung phones so had to return it.
