Happy holidays

Well, I don't have a problem, why I must check? :)

For Takealot Honor brand is a Cognac. .LOL.
This is grey import from Europe (India?), I am sure. You are asking for help from a Huawei rep.

Wait... Trying to find company address, while reading this:
HONOR SOUTH AFRICA LAUNCHES THE HONOR 8X IN SOUTH AFRICA
http://www.smetechguru.co.za/huawei-launches-the-honor-8x-in-south-africa/

Dude, are you just trolling? I am not even sure what you are saying.

honor is a e-brand of Huawei, sold officially in SA, it is not grey imports.

If you read the articles on mybroadband you should know this

https://mybroadband.co.za/news/indu...unched-in-south-africa-specs-and-pricing.html

https://mybroadband.co.za/news/smar...ainst-paying-over-r6000-for-a-smartphone.html

If you read the link to the article that you posted you will see it refers multiple times to Huawei, even in the URL.

I think these are 2 different brands owned by the same company. Try contacting Honor on their social platforms because going the Huawei route might take some time

I contacted honor through their website, they referred me to Huawei South Africa and said that they provide the support for it, that is exactly what I tried to do on this forum.

My gripe is with the Huawei rep on this forum not responding to any of my queries. I mean, granted it is the Huawei rep, so lets say they do not support honor (although I was told they do), would it not be good practice to reply and say, hey man we do not support honor, or hey, I will try find out. Instead, dead silence, no reply at all. That is the reason I said this is not great service.

Why should I send request to a black hole, just be decent and reply, even if he doesn't know. He could of just said that.

They may be preparing for supporting Honor range, but they are not ready. It is a complex project, involves training, updating computer systems and a spares store. This is what I am expecting, as if it were a simple matter, they would rely back "we do not support", this is simple.

Still I didn't see any official statement from Huawei South Africa about distributing Honor range through the official channel. Show me a link to prove I am being wrong. What I see, it is coming from some importers announcing they would sell it in South Africa. It is not the same.

There's an SA website and there's has been no mention of a distributor being involved.

But none of those articles were written by honor, just saying.

Well, it is a busines model without headquarters, not just e-commerce, as phones will be available in retail outlets, but still no registered company name. We've got a name of CEO, Raymond Liu, some photo. It appears to be the the same person on Facebook (just little younger): https://www.facebook.com/raymond.liujianbo

A 'Brand' website points to Huawei Customer Service Center in Melrose Arch, but I don't know whether they know anything about..., probably not yet... .LOL.

It is promising going BIG. They are on a fast track going to flood the market with cheaper phones, so maybe we need to be a patient little bit? :)
