Any specials on DDR3 RAM out there or a decent place to buy from? Looking to get a single 8GB stick to add to my 2x4GB sticks which is not enough at times these days.

I have the following in my PC which I bought in 2013 from Wootware. So it needs to work with them.

Team TLBD38G1600HC9DC01 Vulcan 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 CL 9 240 1.5v Desktop Memory
I also need an 8gb stick of desktop DDR3.

Really rather go for another 2x4GB. Single channel will just slow down your pc.

Think one of the slots is burnt out. Had an issue a year or ago where one stick stopped working, Switched to the other 2 slots and it worked fine again. So I only have 3 slots.

For gaming, dual channel vs single channel doesn't really matter:

Real Life Performance
While the above benchmarks proved to be in slight favor of the Dual Channel Memory module, in my real life usage, I found there to be a negligible difference between the two. Pages loaded slightly faster and my software such as iTunes, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Office ran at equivalent speeds. And yes, I made sure to clear the cache before testing each Memory setup to ensure precise results.

I have been looking for a nice set of speakers for study and 1280DB ticks all the boxes.
Any members using them? Decent brand or are there alternatives?
Takealot seems to have those for a slightly better price at the moment. I have no idea how long that price will remain - prices on Takealot can change very quickly. I'm not sure whether there are any working Takealot price history sites any more. I don't think that there are any active vouchers at the moment.

That’s a damn good price. I bought mine from amazon in 2018. Awesome, clarity, bass, etc.

I’m so tempted to get another for white and giggles.

It appears that Takealot only has the black in stock at the moment and Loot only has the brown which is probably why they are a bit cheaper than Edifier directly. Maybe you can negotiate a better price with Edifier if you want a different colour. You can also look over here for a voucher.

I am trying to get a taste of the S3000Pro and the Airpulse A100 from some YouTube reviews ... ;)

Bought a pair of R1700BT last year for better TV sound.
I find them rather bass heavy, with not great midrange.
The result is that listening to the actors speaking isn't as clear as it could be and bassy sounds are over done.

Better for Avengers type movies than spoken word in TV series.

Dell 24' IC r2000

Takealot has the same with less hassle. Knowing Incredible their special prices are usually the normal price.
