Picked up two boxes @ R180 each 2/3 weeks ago on takealot.

Always pay via a 3rd party, when that option presents itself. I used Payfast's instant EFT and pclinkshop forwarded my request for a refund on the day I asked for it - got the refund a few days later. This was back in May, so things might be different now, since, afaik Payfast refunds can now be done by the merchant directly, so you are kinda back at the mercy of the merchant (time-wise).

They can land at R125-R175, and probably even a bit lower, so there is still some headroom for a lower price.

can this not be used to connect to sata?

Yes it has a mSATA and M.2 header so you can do that although some M.2 ssds has higher throughput than sata can support so you will be capped at sata speeds around 6Gbps (750MB/s)

It's ME, but is not for nvme, but SATA m2 drives. It's keyed different as well

Haven't fully tested yet.. casting works a treat from my browser on the phone.. initial boot has a lot of reboots and I thought it was broken at first.. had to wait for about 20 minutes before I could use it, only for it to have to update again..

Only other question is if netflix streams fine then it should do the job for me...
