Damn - missed it. Looks like all their good deals are out of stock now.

@Ferog Just as a side-note:
If you don't give the LG C1 internet access, then there's no ads. So using it as a PC monitor nullifies that issue.
I've already grown used to the 48", so can't complain about the size anymore and it's #1 for Youtube/Gaming or any high quality content.

Or a router that has DNS filtering or some kind of Adblock, I think some people do it with a raspberry Pi in mix.

Instead of not connecting the TV to the Internet and losing some functionality that you paid for, you could also block the ads at the router:

LG device owners should block the following addresses at the router:

ngfts.lge.com
us.ad.lgsmartad.com
lgad.cjpowercast.com
edgesuite.net
us.info.lgsmartad.com

In your router config it should be by the firewall section for URL Filter or Block List

The same can be done for other TV's, like Samsung:

If you can’t block addresses at the router (most can, but not all), try using an ad-blocking bit of software like Pi-hole on a Raspberry Pi.
 
I haven’t unboxed my 48” C1 yet but my 55” CX has no ads. I take it this changed?

Just pump AdGuard DNS servers into the device.

Half the time they do the job without any further adjustments.

Router will do the whole network, TV just the TV.

Yeah, but... Not sure where those DNS servers are ... If slower than quad9/8/1 then it's be better for devices that specifically need it.

Yeah sadly no locals, but quite honestly with DNS there is very little perceivable real world difference.

You can run their local Adgaurd DNS application on an always on PC or Pi.
