No idea , but I ordered one and it ships on the 30th with the ETA on the 3rd , I will let everyone know what it's like, when/if I get it , but R2199 just seems way too cheap...

For that price it has to be total trash bottom of the barrel glitch fest. Chinglish in the menus and nothing works quite right. Maybe it’s worth a shot though, I just can’t see it being anything else.

Then again knowing how South Africa works these days it’s probably that cheap because someone managed to sneak a container of TVs in without paying any duties.

That being said the screen on the 39” Hisense I bought last year for twice the price was such a pos if this is even half decent it’ll be a bargain. The design looks virtually identical to the similar sized Hisense models.

Don't think that tomu is the make. It looks like itel. I know makro also sells those online only.
Not sure why the logo shows o and not itel.

The next cheapest sht brand 43" TV is R1300 more expensive and they all look near identical anyway, wouldn't be surprised if most of them are near the same just rebranded.
At R2200 it's worth a shot, if its a bit too fugly you can probably sell it on FB marketplace for R3k.

For a cheapo TV it beats the Sinotech on design. The Sinotech's ain't that nice either unless you are watching Netflix and Youtube.

My one big complaint with Sinotech's is their speakers tend to be garbage. Bought two and always had to add the price of speakers onto the price of the TV. Also, they tend to have issues within a few years. Thank goodness for their five year warranty period.

True. Sinotec stuff is the same as any other off brand crap, but with a very long warranty.

The last 2 Sinotec TVs I bought, both broke within 2 years. First one was the backlight that failed and second was power supply. Both repairs are still holding up to this day though.

On another note, has anyone else noticed that PnP has backtracked on Aim's 2 year warranty? Boxes are now all clearly marked with a huge 1 year warranty sign.
