True. Sinotec stuff is the same as any other off brand crap, but with a very long warranty.

The last 2 Sinotec TVs I bought, both broke within 2 years. First one was the backlight that failed and second was power supply. Both repairs are still holding up to this day though.

On another note, has anyone else noticed that PnP has backtracked on Aim's 2 year warranty? Boxes are now all clearly marked with a huge 1 year warranty sign.

Yeah I saw that. Plus there's no Smart TV function on the 60" TV.

I have one of these. It lasts about 45 minutes charging at full tilt, and then gets super warm.

To be fair for every day usage, I've not either, sure over the normal mi tv stick, but on the MI box S or the MI tv stick 4k no.

That's odd though.

I would think just the AV1 support , extra USB, ethernet, double the storage and newer Android TV version is enough of s difference to the Mi S. Let alone a 25 second faster boot time and a few seconds opening each app

Plus the fact the it'll more than likely run up to Android TV

Those don't make a big difference really for everyday normal people yardage usage.
The network port is good though will say that. Also what start up time? I'm not doing a cold boot every time

Then it’s cool.

It’s just last years 320i for R599k or this years M3 at R602k … And you take the old 320i because you don’t need the latest and the power :)

But if Mi S does the job, great. I personally just get the latest variant if possible .

Personally would get the MI tv stick 4k, av1 support, Dolby Atmos and vision as well. Sure it's smaller form factor doesn't have the usb or network port.

isnt the MI box S R1000, and the Shield R4000+ (even more for the Pro)?

Yea - it really depends on your needs.

I like an Ethernet port myself.

What’s interesting to note with Nova is that you so actually get Dolby Atmos on some apps.

Do you know if the Mi stick does Atmos sound over Netflix? It doesn’t over Disney last I checked, even with the Atmos certs
