I am also in the market for a tablet for my younger sibling. something decent for around R1500 - the use will mostly be online surfing, pinterest, watching clips and reading ebooks. Preferably both cellular and wifi but if a choice has to be made between the two then cellular.

For that price, you just know some corners had to be cut.
If it were my money, I wouldn't. If you are really set, if possible maybe go to one of the stores with a USB drive with some movies or snippets in the more common formats with content encoded with h.264, h.265 and the like to see if it plays and if there is any jitter or ghosting or image retention with the panel.

It's inferior, you will see it on the TV Panel, After Sales Support Is Awful, it's a Dixon brand also
Tried other stuff with the brand they making all had issues or quality was ****.

Try Webdirect - they normally have refurbished laptops, but you can also inquire for prices on new laptops.
Else wait for Black Friday and check Takealot, Raru, Wootware etc.

Never seen a "Dixon" TV until a week ago at an acquaintance's house. Picture quality was pretty crisp watching an HD transmission. No idea about warranty or support though.....
Would personally stick with something like Sinotec where I know the 5yr warranty is good. (Have successfully gotten replacements twice on screens at home after some years).
eg. 40" FHD [5yr Warranty] @ R2999

I have a Nixon powerbank, it works pretty well, auto switches off when devices are fully charged. Used on hikes in the mountains and cannot fault it. Pretty nifty logic built into this power bank, recharges my GPS watch and phone several times
LOL at Galaxy Tab E for R2999 first 20 customers. That's the NORMAL price. Stopped looking right there.
