Hi all. I've bin lurking on this thread pretty much since day dot - picked up a good few bargains here 
Not sure if anybodys seen this yet, but since it hasn't bin posted here, figured its finally my turn, so here goes:
Kalahari Deal of the day - grabbed one for myself this morning, think its a brilliant price for an entry level universal.

so i just saw, the HD F2 Samsung I just bought from Nivo, isnt 7200, its 5400, but it still gets 3GB/s, doesnt the RPM really matter then?
Those are Samsung's "EcoGreen" series, which a trustworty site reviewed as "Its performance is very good, with only random access falling a bit behind 7200rpm desktop drives" and "The Samsung HD502HI sits at the top of quiet HDDs reviewed".
In this case, the specific 5400RPM model performs well, but for disk-intensive use, it does matter

Has anybody used this remote on a DSTV decoder, not the PVR, the old Dual View or 720?
The 3GB/s is just the interface support. Doesn't mean it's going to that speed. They hardly ever do even on 7200rpm drives.
If you're just using it for storage then its fine, but rather use a 7200rpm drive as your boot drive, it will quicken things up.

Definitely, im also thinking of getting one sometime soon, 1TB just dont cut it anymore.
