Maybe have a look at the Samsung 2494HS. It's a bit more expensive but it does have HDMI, Audio In/Out and speakers. R2139 from PcInt

They always show that, more often than not, no Samsungs in stock,
2494HS is a great screen, got mine a while back for 1,899

If you are going to use it for your PC at all, I'd say get the LG, since it has the "just Scan" function. I got the new 42 inch from Hi Fi Corruption for R8999 the other day on special and I love it. Not sure about Sony, but from the feedback, I'd say stay away.

What are you on about? I have the Sony and its awesome. Use it with nothing but the PC. No overscan isseus, except when using the component video connections, but that is just sillyness anyway.

PC Zone's pricing always includes VAT but the R2499 is their cash price. It's R2599 for credit card

Um, call me naive but I thought that agreements companies have with the credit card providers meant they aren't allowed to do that, i.e. no dual-pricing depending on whether you pay cash or card....?

its "ok" to give a cash discount, its not ok to charge a premium for using a card... amounts to the same thing though...
