Its edge lit LED. And you right, no one can afford OLED, that is insane. i meant that its not a full back lit LED. Why should you stay away form Hisense? I was looking to get one for my next TV. (Sorry for off topic)

I have never seen a C-grade manufacturer produce decent picture quality. The panel on that Samsung, being 3D-capable, 200Hz will probably destroy whatever's in that HiSense.

The problem with edge lit is that you don't get local dimming. Unfortunately, everybody's using it now for thin-ness. I'd love to compare a new edge-lit Samsung with a new LED backlit Philips or something else with local dimming. The local dimming TVs used to destroy edge-lit on blacks and contrast (not numbers, actual side-by-side comparisons).
Anybody looked into this recently?

(Sorry for OT)

I would like to inform you that your dealer application has been successfully processed and that you are now registered as an ESQUIRE valued added reseller. (VAR) :D

Anyone know where I can get a Logitech G35 headset cheaper than R1150? :o

Edit: O, and if you are selling yours, pm me with a price, please.

Waste of money. You can get Sennheiser PC-360 imported for like R1,800. Real headphones. G35 and other gaming headsets are trash in comparison. Thank us later. ;)

Not all of us has R1800 to waste on an expensive kit, when the G35s offers me what I want. Had them before and will get them again, thank you. :p

Yet you have R1,150 to waste on overpriced junk. Oh well, I tried to make your life/gaming better. Typical attitude as you do not no better. Fine. A fool parts easily with his money. ;)

Overpriced junk? Dude are you for real?

Well, considering I have experience with:

G35
Roccat Kave
Corsair xyz

And

Sennheiser PC-360
Sennheiser HD555 (PC-360 without a mic)
Sennheiser HD595
Sennheiser HD650

I am very much for real. Now you.

Look, they aren't bad, just not worth R1,150 when something so much better is available for +-R1,800. I'm just trying to help the oke get better value for money and a better overall experience.

Firstly, who owns that many headsets? You couldn't have been all that happy with them if you changing headsets that often, or you have one for each room of the house.

Personally, R1800 for a set of headphones is overkill unless you are a music producer and anal about sound quality.

You clearly said the the G35's were junk, which is absolutely ridiculous. The build quality is superb, the sound quality is excellent, far from a piece of junk and well worth the price tag.

Grimspoon:
I own the following headphones:
HD 202 (these can now retire after 10 years+ of good service - being replaced by my HD 380 Pro)
HD 465 - for use at the office
HD 380 Pro - for use at the church
HD 555 - for home use

PostmanPot probably sold most of those headphones. He just said that he has experience with all of those headphones, which does not mean that he owns everyone of them at this moment...

Importing Sennheiser headphones is worth it if you can wait a month or so!

One thing to note though: don't use open headphones (eg. Sennheiser HD5xx/6xx) in an open office space, because everyone will hear what you're listening and you will be hearing them whilst you're listening.

I do agree with you that spending over R1800 on headphones is a waste unless you have incredibly good hearing OR if you listen to music like 24/7. Like my colleague spent over R3500 on his HD600's a long time ago and he doesn't even use a good sound card at all! He just uses his phone or onboard audio.
