The typical process at bidorbuy is that if a sale is cancelled, we credit your bidorbuy account and you will then be able to request a payout (via this link on BoB). Payout requests are processed by 9am, but for FirstShop related cases I know that the finance team also does adhoc refunds.

PM me your bob-userid if you struggle and I will assist.

The bidorbuy admin staff is going through refunds at the moment. As you will probably have heard, Naspers shut down SACamera which has now resulted in extra admin work on our end processing additional refunds (more complicated than FirstShop, since some orders can be fulfilled and others can't). Refunds should be processed throughout the day though and we should have processed everything by tomorrow.

Didn't know this happened. Was wondering why I couldn't open their site. What happened?

I just got an email from Bid or Buy stating that my payment was not accepted by First Shop.

So I suppose it will automatically go back into my cc.

Purchased via the website with CC and got this today

Dear rodga

At the outset we would once again wish to apologise. We have pleasure in informing you that all refunds due to you in relation to your order (ORDER ID xxxxxx) have now been processed to the same account payment originated from. This should take no longer than 3 (three) days to reflect in your bank account.

At all times FirstShop.co.za has considered any refund due to you to be of the utmost importance and apologise for any inconvenience caused to you during this process.

We take this opportunity to reassure you of our commitment to providing you with the best service possible.

Regards

Can this thread get back to normal now?

No, the poor kids that don't understand the phrase 'too good to be true' will make us suffer until they get over their 'loss' next year Friday.
I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread now actually. Ffs.

Okay. Dionwired has the WD My Cloud 3Tb for R2200. They had it for R2800. A good price. Takelot is currently at R2333 for the same product.

wow, to think I paid R1k for a WD 3TB less than a year ago.
To me these prices seem way too high, but with the crazy rand and chinese new year, who knows :)

For a Hdd it is expensive. For a NAS, with quite a few features, it is cheap.
