It's a good price. No gaming laptop, but with the i5, GPU, touchscreen and backlit KB it's pretty good value.

Gaming laptops are usually quite a bit more expensive aren't they? I don't game but would need it to run Photoshop fast...

Any chance you can find out what the exact model number is? It seems like it has a 1080p screen, which makes it amazing value for money! For Photoshop use, I'm not too sure how it will run. 6GB RAM seems enough, i5 is quite decent, GPU isn't the best, screen is amazing (if it is 1080p). But, for that price I don't think you'll find any better.

If you have some extra to spend, this is what you want: http://www.wootware.co.za/msi-gamin...s-8-single-language-64-bit-15-6-notebook.html

Is it just me or does that "about us" section give off a dodgy vibe, with a new account vouching for it.

Not even a little dodge... 0.o

Yeah what is dodge about the about us? I generally scrutinize the T&C before swiping my Credit card online. I didn't see anything that seemed dodge. Each man for himself I guess;)

Wirless mouse/keyboard combo for R220 at Matrix computers (Centurion branch at least). Not the best keyboard, mouse pretty decent, but both solid enough for the price. Normal price at Matrix was about R300. Mine works well, but not the solution I need over the long term, helped with the plentitude of wires and cables all over the show. My TVPC (Android device), Fedora 20 release and Windows 7 Home picked it up easily, all without explicit installation or configuration of drivers/software.

Esquire has mini wireless keyboard with trackpad for R299. But looking for R199 as its perfect for tvpc use

Wabamart - get the model number and buy it from some reputable online store, all e-tailers work with the same distributors. Otherwise it is a scam.

My 2c for those who are interested...
I got one last month. The trackball is fine, but the keyboard doesn't have much tactile feedback. Very rubbery feel, so typing is a bit crappy. I guess if you're going to use it for HTPC stuff, it's ok.

Hi fi corp has that Sansui Wi fi at 999 I need something for my daughter for homework and they have a wi fi network at her school so no 3 g needed. I say it'll be used for research on the www. or games... but is it bad enough to avoid? I read a 2012 review here...http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...the-sansui-7-quot-tablet-hifi-corp-is-selling
I don't want to spend more on a 10 year old who drops things all the time. There is a Blaupunkt at Matrix warehouse same price but less spec, lets see this sansui has 512 mb memoey, 4gbstorage, VGa Front facing camera, Micro SD sold seperatey(but I dont need one- up to 32GB)
Touch screen, Android not sure which version> Rock Candy? and Google play. No mention of speed. Buy Y or N? anything else in R1000-1300 range for kids ?

Model number?

Wirless mouse/keyboard: Genius slimstar 8000

* No problems yet, except World of Tanks window loses focus once in about 5 minutes (even when playing in full-screen mode), needs a click to focus window back. May or may not be related to something else.
