Are you talking about a charger or just an AC/DC power adapter? My external drive has a 12V 2A switching power adapter. Zakspeed might have something suitable - take the original PSU along with you. You could also try Bidorbuy for something suitable.

I cant see why importing a CPU in your own private capacity would be illegal, unless it comes with a kg of crack.

Yotch, you seem to be the right guy to ask: I need to find an AC power to USB "adaptor" as the PVR usb has no power, so the usb cooling pad i bought needs to be powered some other way. I need this in before i can put in the 1.5TB drive in the PVR
Any advice?What site do you ship from? whos your contact...?

Alot of old discarded electronic equipment is sent to china to keep the little street kids happy as they remove good semi-conductors, etc. What is still good is sold off.
Sometimes, and I've seen this when hunting for some rare semi-conductors, things are relabeled and marked as new. There are plenty reports on semi-conductors having part numbers screen printed onto them when the part is not actually what one expects.
So just one of the buyer-beware warnings. I don't know the company you're dealing with, but there are some dodgey ones out there. Also alot of good CPUs are ditched these days when they have a ton of life left in them.
