esquire are selling a BENQ 23.6" for R1480, how are these? Any bought one?

I saw that - just afraid of that I'm going to be pissed when I see two differing monitors.
For that price - I would almost reckon it's worth the gamble.

No speakers though - but still - great deal it would seem.

yes its samsung, I got 3 now, and they all going without a hitch being hammered in multimedia equipment. Granted they arent the fastest around, but for cheap storage, they fine. Well, from my experience at least

Is that a 7200 or 5900rpm?

Was just asking as there recently seemed to be a shortage of the 7200rpm 1TB Samsung units.

Actually there seems to be no WD 1TB Black items either. Could only find Seagate 7200rpm and I already have one of those. :) DCC have the WD on back order with no known ETA. Same with the others. Rectron indicates not many Samsung 1TB around. This might all just be 7,200rpm items though as I was able to find the slower 5900.

I want either a WD 1TB Black or a Samsung 1TB 7200rpm right now to complete the collection for the test of "who dies first". :D

And to make things a little worse it still seems people are hung up on the 7200.11 issue even though the 7200.12 Seagates work fine so it's been a fun week with some 1TB requests I've had. :p

Sorry, my bad, I meant 5400rpm.

I'm sure they'll do just fine. I think the 7200 versions should be available again in a couple of weeks. I definitely need to add a Samsung and a WD to my rig. I find the Seagates a little loud.

cool, just picked one up, will go test tonight and compare with my 2494 samsung. I only need one, so I had to tear myself away from taking a second one, i also bought a 1TB for 599 EXCL VAT. Not a bad price either.

hi there ... can you note the goods and bads between those two LCDs please ... i know the 2494 is an excellent choice for an LCD but i wana know just how good the benq one is ...

thanx

Among the Samsung, WD and Seagate, the Seagates are the quietest in my system and the Samsung the loudest, especially at startup

I picked up a 27" Samsung P2770H (2ms) from Incredible for R2699. Does this sound like a good deal?
