Sounds like you had a rough time on this one. What about getting someone to try direct from Rectron for you. I am sure there must be a MyBB member registered with Rectron in CT willing to help? At least to find out the availability from them.

No need. I pinged the heck out of a bunch of other online shops too. "No Stock" is the answer I got back from all of them. Sybaritic was the only one that went the evil route and told me it was in stock but that there was a "lead time" of x weeks - matching the 'expected' date originally given to me by NIVO. Evil evil. But at least sybaritic is showing out of stock again now. ETA 28 Oct

@ld13 - I'm not sure what price you were going to get it from Nivo for, but how does this offer look from MemoryC in Ireland?
I recently bought various items from them and it arrived in CT in less than 3 working days by courier, at a very reasonable price for shipping.

I see they only have the more expensive A-Data option in stock, at 45 EUR + 10 for shipping that comes to about R525. However, this is for the registered post option which will no doubt incur VAT and maybe even import duties from SARS/Customs. For my order I opted for DHL courier which totally bypassed customs - yay! - but for such a small order it will push the landed cost to R680 ... in this case it might be worth it to bulk up your order with more products to mitigate the impact of the shipping cost.

Got a call from NIVO. "We cannot get you the product you ordered [16GB MicroSD Class6], but we can source you the same product without the SD adapter though. Interested?"
Yay! "Will be shipped in a few days! :)"

But ja. Eish. Good thing that I did not get my hopes up. Got a call from NIVO, again, few days later.
"Oops, we got the wrong info or whatnot. That product is being discontinued. :( Cannot source it at all. A new product will be replacing it though - more expensive."

Tough luck I guess. Pondering about just ordering one from ebay already... And the class 10 ones are just crazy at R900!

After three weeks of delays Prophecy have just realised that they can't make good on my order either. No alternatives offered or reasons given. I am starting to think that they are letting their standards slip........ Will order elsewhere from now on.

I'm paying about ~R350 with delivery at NIVO. It might go to about R400 with the new replacement product. I am looking at MemoryC at the moment and I must say their delivery fees are quite fair...

Have a look at the product that is supposedly replacing the one we are not getting... http://nivo.co.za/#buy~transcend.16...al.high.capacity.microsdhc.memory.card~p18009 R395.40

In other news:
R999 - Seagate Barracuda LP - 2TB HDD 32MB Cache 5900 RPM- SATA 2 - 3.0Gb/s ST32000542AS

I hate to diss Seagate as I've been a vocal supporter of theirs over the years but I have returned three 2TB Seagate externals in the last three months. I'm not sure if they use the same drive as the one listed above, but I'm not taking chances again.

Just a fair warning.

Can't one simply register on shop.esquire.co.za and then buy the advertised specials?

I dunno, on the shop.esquire registration/sign up does it not ask for a Esquire account number?
Assuming that, I would say one would need an account before you can buy from their online service :)

@Beet: No worries, always fun helping a mate out while lurking ^_^

hahahahha, yeah always nice running into lurking mates in unexpected forums ;)

still no luck in getting an esquire COD account, mailed the rep as well as a Nasser dude who left his mail in one of the other Esquire threads.

Anyone know if the special MYBB account at esquire is still operational?
