Incredible connection have a Freecom 2.5" 500MB external HDD at R599. Only problem I can see is that it seems to be preformatted for Mac.

If it's 500MB's I wouldn't bother
lolIf it's 500GB's and is formatted to HFS+ you can just reformat it to NTFS or FAT32 and it should work just fine

Is the R1100 inclusive or exclusive of VAT?

R1100 incl. vat. Reviews show that the Samsung is superior in print quality.
The Canon printer can be bought for R999 at PC Zone and Matrix Warehouse.

Go for the Samsung printer than!
My only concern would be the price of toner as colour toner is quite expensive

Makro has Vodacom 3GB + 3GB (Night Owl) on special for R199 for 24 months.
A bit longer than the usual 12 months for the 2GB + 2GB special but it still seems cheap.

I am soooooooooo tempted. I think I may be nutless if I do though. With a Galaxy Tab 10.1, Asus Transformer TF101, HTC Flyer and iPad 3 in the house I think the wife may not see reason here.
