Same as any 2hnd phone, depends how the previous owner looked after it, it may be pristine or a little bashed up.

Very much doubt anyone will try an insurance claim scam for such a low value device, also they are old enough now that the phone won't be linked to any contracts.

To illustrate how potent an S4 is, I went from a LG G4 which the equivalent of an S6 to an S4 and the only thing I missed was the camera, speed difference was negligible.

Just make sure you get the S4 with LTE.
