Technology prices are supposed to drop due to newer stuff being released to replace older stuff. Also found that doing proper research before purchasing is absolutely essential in SA.

To get best deals you need to put in the extra effort and time IMO.

I see Makro has a 4TB Seagate external drive on special for R1999 - I can't find 4TB drives for cheaper on their own. Possiblly a good deal even if buying to break the drive out of the enclosure.....

That's definitely a bargain! I bought my current 3TB Seagate external drive from Makro last year for R1,300 and the price somehow increased for the same drive. WTF?

I got my 2. They extended it for at least an extra week in the national advert; not sure if it is still running as such.

Don't really know yet. Upgrading from i3 2120 (1155).

Still considering my options;

•go amd and OC the crap out of it, but I'd need a new mobo
•go LGA 1150 and get a i3-4340
•keep mobo and get a i5 ivy bridge (probably the best option I guess).
•wait another year for the next CPU's and then decide

Don't know, all have pros and cons.
