Went into our branch as they opened the doors. Sign on door says each store is limited to 10 drives at R899 then price goes up to R1299. My store had not received stock yet but they have given me a quote which will act as a raincheck / callback voucher for when stock arrives.

they never phone me back on those :(

Anybody went to game to beat the price yet?

Game would not beat or match the price due to HIFI Corp not having stock (they phoned and checked)

The following stores, apparently, don't have stock. N1 city, Cape Gate and Somerset West.
Tygervally sold out the first 10 at R899 and now you can get it for R1249.

Incredible Connection, certain stores doing clearance. Picked up 2x 2013 rMBP (ME294) for R23k each at Woodmead.

HFC is just so tacky these days - haven't bought from in years

Although it seems to be epic price misprint season, Esquire has a good price on the 4TB, no? Doesn't seem much wrong with it other than write performance which shouldn't be a problem for long term storage...

The price of hard drive should come down soon, as bigger capacity hard drive is been released. To me these prices are just normal prices compare to Thailand flood few years ago.
