They've been around, not as long as Samsung I will admit. I have a 32gb in my phone for over a year and no problems, very good speeds.

We used to distribute a product with their ram in. We had a high failure rate on the ram. Could have been a bad batch or something but it left a bad taste for me.

Also got Strontium SD's. No issues.

I bought Strontium Nitro 32gb and a Samsung Evo 32gb micro SD cards. Put one in my tablet and one in my wife's.

The Strontium is faster and the Samsung packed up after 3 months.

I've just had my Transend (newer) than Strontium pack up this week and it's like 2 months. And this is a card which remained in the phone all the time.

If these are the plastic USB Strontium things... then meh. Plastic USB connectors are a fail. All, and I mean ALL, of the ones I have had have split, broken or cracked and inserting these drives becomes a wiggle and pray affair. I will never choose a plastic USB connector on any device ever again.

Stupid cost saving idea... stupid.

If you want a reliable micro-sd card then go with Kingston. Next up would be Transcend or Adata.

SanDisk had the same clever idea and the same results..
