Hi Guys, Im shopping for an adsl router. I found this one
http://www.takealot.com/asus-dsl-n14u-wireless-adsl-router/PLID38535024
I really want to have at least 2 vlan's on there on it seems in this routers case broadcast 2 seperate ssid's (from the description it seems the same). My budget is more or less R700. Can anyone tell me whether this is a good deal?

Great Router for the price. I have the previous model that's being running without a hitch for 3 years :)

Roku SE

Roku SE will be released on Black Friday for $25. In theory Amazon will sell it. Need this for old TV for some friends. Any advice to get this from Amazon US to SA?

Amazon ships to SA.
I bought my Roku 3 and Nexus 7 from Amazon.

Customs Duties on tablets?
15.4% vat, Amazon will show all charges and duties up front in the cart if they ship to Sa.

Little trick is they normally charge a minimum shipping fee and you can add quite a few things to your basket before it increases, so that's the time to order all the little bits and pieces you may want from Amazon and technically not pay any shipping on them.

Fantastic! Do you use .com or .co.uk?
[Sorry about not moving this to PM but I though others may be interested too]

Amazon actually gave me a refund of more than R100 after I received my Roku. They said that they had overcharged for vat/customs.

If the item says that it ships to SA, Amazon will usually calculate all the extra costs like Vat, duties and handling. The price you pay on checkout is the final price, no other surprise cost's once it arrives in the country. They ship using courier (so far all my packages were aramex) and it takes 1-2 weeks to arrive at your door. If they do not ship a particular item you can have a look at aramex global shopper.

How long does it take?

Edit: I see RiazK says 1-2 weeks.
I usually choose the cheapest shipping method they offer and even though amazon says it will take 3-4 weeks to arrive, it still arrives within a week, sometimes 2 weeks.

Have you ever needed to return something?

. Com
. UK is sometimes even better as they take the vat off if it's an intl order, or so I've heard.
Do they use a courier or the "post office"?
Around R300 is the minimum courier fee, normally with aramex, last order arrived in 6 days. They don't post.

I had the same thing, actually I had all my customs/vat fees refunded, for some reason I was not charged anything. Didn't complain!

If one buy's a laptop from Amazon .com, it'll come with an American plug right? Would need to then buy a charger for it locally?
