WRT is designed to allow for WRT firmware.


The EA used to be able to load it, and some still do...but if you do a 30/30/30 reset you will brick the router..so you have to be very careful

Thanks. So its better if you want to tinker with it.

Almost bought the EA8500 but don't need a router.

Its a great bargain!

They are still good routers.

I connected up the router and did a walkabout
Old network (includes antennas mounted above head height) : Red line
New network : Blue line
