Anyone have some first hand experience on the Lenovo Miix? Im looking for something for browsing and playing media.

Had the lenovo miix 310 that I bought from makro for R3000 about a year ago.

It's like a faster netbook with touch, this one has the atom x5 so it's faster than the miix I had. The 32gb really limits what you want to do as windows takes about half of this space.
I would say use it only for light browsing and media consumption, and some other "productive" stuff you have to do on the side. This I think has micro hdmi so you can connect to monitor for bigger screen. Also it only comes with 2gb ram and with chrome and lots of tabs open on top of normal windows ram usage, it's good for doing light-medium stuff.

It's like a normal tablet with the versatility of windows os. But if you want a tablet, go with Ipad. If you want a tablet to do something "more" that only windows can do, than get this.
I have a friend with the samsung tab e that's on sale for R2000 right now, but it's not that good, lags here and there and slow in opening apps. And doesn't come with keyboard, but android has way more 'tablet apps' than windows, so it's a better tablet experience.

Also trying to use touch to copy files and manage folders and stuff on the 10' windows is bad, dreadful experience.

You might as well look at the Galaxy Tab A with S-Pen if you are looking for an iPad.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated... Its a toss up between this and getting the Tab A. Will hopefully make a decision soon.

Miix 310 has one flaw.. extremely poor speakers

The 320 they fixed this issue and made them front facing

Aside from that I used to get about 10-13 hours of Netflix streaming on a single charge with my old miix 310. 2gb ram is not an issue at all, just dont use the ram devouring chrome browser.. firefox/edge/IE/opera has no issues
Atom x5 cpu can handle 2k and 4k video playback effortlessly.

Only reason I got rid of mine was because of the speakers. Got a HP x2 10.1" atom x5 with 2gb ram instead.. 18 hours of Netflix and stupidly loud B&O front facing speakers

At R2500 I think you won't lose too much, you could probably sell it again on gumtree for about the same price. You missed a deal on raru where they were selling windows 2-1 acer machines for R2000 but they were the older atoms, and they sold out in 3 minutes.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. Think I'll pull the trigger on the Lenovo Miix.

Please confirm whether you can add mem card?

Anyone received emails from Takelot saying they won't honour their Blue Dot deals? Saw someone complaining about it on Twitter.
