Anyone received emails from Takelot saying they won't honour their Blue Dot deals? Saw someone complaining about it on Twitter.

One item I have ordered turned into a 404 error page, things seem to be looking like last year, but Takealot has not said anything so maybe everything is still on course.

I've been looking for a budget laptop for my mom and been struggling to find anything.

With priority shipping (needed to get it here asap) it's still cheaper than anything I can get locally that has comparable specs. Can't even find this model locally anywhere, well at least I couldn't on any of the regular sites.

Just over R5k for the laptop + duties and then shipping will depend on which option you chose.

Referring to Makro's ones where the pricing was all wrong and every third product said 'Save R0'.

Surely there should be checks in place before deals are loaded onto their prod system? Or a simple check that goes something like this:

If special price > MSRP, return error

and flags it as incorrect before it is pushed to the prod system

From what I can see this model doesn't support any SA LTE bands (1, 3, 38 or 40) - only 2, 4 and 7.
