Seagate 2.5" Expansion Portable Drive - 1TB - R699 at takealot.
You can disassemble the STEA1000400 expansion and remove the drive inside for use in a laptop if you want. I upgraded my one laptop a while back to 1 TB using this drive.

I opened the one I bought from takealot a few months ago @R799 and found a seagate ST1000LM035 instead of the samsung mentioned in the youtube video.
Using the current EASTER200 voucher you can get it for R499 - this is actually cheaper than buying an internal drive.

Ok did not check it, drive is still a bargain at R549 then
Budgets aside by far the biggest favour you can do to a laptop is replacing the spinning 5400 rpm drive with an SSD.

True - depending on what you use it for. It was a backup laptop I later gave to my mom - she like to download lots of stuff but is not so concerned about speed.

It will be back. When I ordered, there were like 30 available and it went quite quickly. Went out of stock before I could get more/share here. Now today they loaded even more stock. So just keep an eye on it...
Got 3 of them as well. It is R80.
Delivery was like next day. Left at 4pm on Friday, got it today. JHB to CPT with RTT.
