Has anyone here tried Rocksmith yet?

i really enjoyed all the guitar hero games... but it was too easy now i see rocksmith just released like 2 days ago, ive been playing guitar for 2 years now so i think it wont be too hard for me atleast, just wondering if anyone tried it here how is it? any metal on it ?

Not coming to EU/UK yet as to a legal battle, only versions you can get is via import (US Release).

friend brought over a copy of this game from the US
cant play it on the xbox 360 because of the different region code.

(and no, changing location on the profile didn't work)

so are we then not getting this game? some people are saying we're not getting it at all, others say only next year...

As it stands, EU release is delayed due to music licensing issues. We should see it early 2012, unless none of our distributors bring it in. If none of them do, you can simply import it from the UK so that it works properly, and buy an electric guitar from any store here.

A year late, but I thought it might be worth mentioning...

Now I'm just trying to find out if there's a way of playing the game without that specific cable. I'm going to try plugging my guitar in using an AUX cable in the mic port. Long shot, but it will be awesome if it pays off.

Kalahari have the game with the guitar for R1999. That's about R400 cheaper than the nearest competitor.

I bought the PS3 Version from Zaps - and then used the cable to play the game on steam (much more DLC) -

It is absolutely amazing.

I'm also getting the steam version. Just have to get the cable since my plan to use the mic port failed miserably.
Kalahari is selling the cable for R300, a bit steep for just the cable, but at the moment it looks like the best offer.

bought my copy for ps3 today on amazon.co.uk for around R550 or so (game+cable+shipping). damn cheap that, and it's the guitar and bass version. all the stores i checked at the last two weeks didn't have any stock (rather pathetic for december), but said in the region of R900. go through amazon if you want it it's a bit of a wait, but i don't mind, because it saved me R+-350.
